《太岁》是中国古代神话传说中的“众神之深”，是一种镇宅消灾吉祥物。《太岁》祭放在有钱币图案的梯形大理石上面更有广聚财源、平安坚实之意。在中国民间，《太岁》向来被人们看作是一种神秘莫测的力量，一种能在冥冥之中支配和影响人们命运的力量。他无影无踪，而又无处不在，在东南亚及港澳台地区广为祭拜！俗话说：“太岁头上动土”，即指太岁不可冒犯也！
