虽然袁野、高翔、潘皓和赵晨仍坚持以“绘画”为自己的创作基点，但是在参展的作品中，我们仍能感受到某种显而易见的“疏离”。他们都不约而同地努力从绘画主流中逸出，不再满足于复述先前的成果，或纯然表明“前进的”或“向后看”的姿态；他们都不约而同地强调完全个人经验的叙述，张扬个性，视个人风格化的确立为一种与他人相疏离的另辟蹊径，并将这一选择所得出的结论，最终转化为艺术创造的首要原则。由此在他们近期的作品中，个性化的面貌与形式语言，不再是取巧而空洞的观念或故作姿态，而是具体落实的风格推进。
参展的4位艺术家均来自中央美术学院在读博士。

Although Yuan Ye, Gao Xiang, Pan Hao and Zhao Chen still take “painting” as their base point of creation, we can still feel an obvious “estrangement” through their works. They all happen to coincide and attempt to transgress from the mainstream of painting. They are no longer satisfied with repeating their previous achievements or simply indicating their standpoint of “going ahead” or “looking backward”. They all focus on reciting their personal experiences and expressing their individualities. They take the establishment of individualization as a way of developing a new style so as to differ from other artists, and finally take the ultimateness of this choice as the chief principle of their artistic creations. Thereout, in their recent art works, individualized visages and formal languages are no longer artful and empty conceptions or showing a pretentious gesture, but a specific and fulfilled promotion of their new style.
All the four artists are doctor’s candidates studying at the Central Academy of Fine Arts.
